What is a General Contractor?
A general contractor (GC) is the main contractor or prime contractor that is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of a construction site, management of vendors and trades, coordination and the communication of information to all involved parties (client and sub-contractors) throughout the course of a building project.
Why do you need General Contractor?
-
- GC oversees the day-to-day operations of your project, coordinates vendors and trades, and ensures clear communication throughout.
- The Correct GC will provide an accurate scope saving you time and money.
- A GC minimizes distractions for you and your staff.
- With a GC you only have one company to call for service during or after the project.
When do you need General Contractor?
-
- Any time you are coordinating more than one or two sub-contractors for a job.
- After a Storm, Fire, Flood or Failure you CANNOT AFFORD, not have a General Contractor.
- Storm, fire, flood and disaster restoration is different from fixing your roof. Restoration plus the insurance and claim process goes much further than getting multiple bids. In fact restoration is not a bid process, it is a scope process. After 15 years of restoration we are an experienced general contractor and we know how to correctly scope after a storm or disastrous event.
