This is a tar and gravel built up roof that had been leaking in several places.  We worked with the building owner and tenants to replace the roof in two phases.  Here are some pictures from the first phase of work.  We removed the gravel from the roof with a vacuum truck, power washed and cleaned the roof and the West Texas dust, dead pigeons and debris.  Then we applied several base coats of waterproof rubber emulsion, in between 70 degree days and weather delays for snow.  Once the initial coats were cured we were able to apply the top coat with embedded granules to give them a waterproof, UV stable durable roof.  Once phase 2 is finished they will apply for a 15 year labor and material warranty.  This roof was able to be installed at less than 1/2 the cost of a complete roof replacement and will be able to have a 15 year warranty.
